Updates in Pediatric Obesity: Living in an Obesogenic Environment


At the completion of this course, the viewer should be able to:

  • identify modern approaches to counseling families with children impacted by obesity
  • compare medicinal and surgical options that may benefit children impacted by obesity as supported by the American Academy of Pediatrics 2022 Guidelines
  • discern environmental and urban planning impacts on increasing rates of obesity
  • develop advocacy steps to advance health-promoting changes to their hometowns/cities
