Opioid Use Disorder Management: Trends, Tricks and Tips


Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss recent trends in opioid use both locally and nationally.
  • Identify several misperceptions regarding management of opioid use disorder.
  • Utilize less frequently used management tools in opioid use disorder for their own patients.

Jeremiah Fairbanks, DO, Mayo Clinic Health Systems

Dr. Jeremiah Fairbanks is currently working as an addiction medicine fellow at the University of Minnesota.  He graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency through the University of Minnesota Mankato location.  Jeremiah will be finishing his fellowship 2021 and has plans to practice in the twin cities in both primary care and addiction medicine upon graduation.
