OMT Review for the Practicing DO
Learning Objectives:
- Define the tenets of osteopathy and somatic dysfunction
- Describe osteopathic considerations, including sympathetic, parasympathetic, lymphatic, bio-mechanic, and psychosocial components
- Demonstrate osteopathic diagnosis using key lesion, primary lesion, and sequencing
- Develop and implement a rational plan for patient-centered, osteopathic treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Understand and apply principles of OMT billing and coding
Accreditation Statement: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Ohio Osteopathic Foundation (OOF) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
