K-TRACS, Prescribing & You, was first presented at the Kansas Association of Osteopathic Medicine Annual Conference 2023. This program now made available on-demand follows Gayle Donaldson, and her recommendation on best practices when prescribing K-TRACS.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss recommendations and best practices for using K-TRACS
- Analyze the patient report to understand how to use patient information in clinical decision-making.
- Identify patient safety and care coordination recommendations.
- Explain K-TRACS Advisory Committee’s role and case review criteria.
Accreditation Statement:
KAOM is an accredited sponsor by the American Osteopathic Association for osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. KAOM designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the physician’s participation.

Gayle Donaldson, MBA graduated with a BA in Communication Studies from Fort Hays State University and an MBA from Baker University. She has more than 10 years' experience in journalism, public relations, marketing, public information, graphic design and project management. She is currently the Public Information Officer at the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.She manages the K-TRACS website and social media prescence as well as creating public information healthcare professionals and consumers regarding the state's prescription drug monitoring program.
