Ten Top Tips for Geriatric Dermatology


While there have always been some people who have lived well into their nineties or even beyond, the magnitude of this longevity today is a very recent development among the human species. The facts of global aging are quite amazing.  A record-breaking rate of 800,000 new members enter the 65+ cohort per month.

Learning Objectives:

a.      Outline the demographic imperative for our elderly patients’ needs

b.      Recognize common skin disorders in the elderly and learn when to get consultations

c.       Review ways to prevent skin problems in the elderly

d.       Highlight the new advances in aging

Osteopathic Medical Society (SCOMS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
