  1. Define what dementia is
  2. Differentiate Alzheimer’s dementia (AD) from other dementias
  3. Describe a potential molecular pathway contributing to AD
  4. Identify risk factors for AD and link those risk factors to the damaging brain changes found in AD
  5. Formulate a plan to reduce risk of developing AD

Timothy R. Jennings, MD

Timothy R. Jennings, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist, master psychopharmacologist, international speaker, a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Fellow of the Southern Psychiatric Association. Dr. Jennings obtained his MD degree in 1990 from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He completed psychiatric residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and has served as the Division Psychiatrist for the 3rd Infantry Division. Dr. Jennings has served as President of the Southern and Tennessee Psychiatric Associations and is founder and President of Come and Reason Ministries. Dr. Jennings has authored many books to include: The God-Shaped Brain: How Changing Your View of God Transforms Your Life and The Aging Brain: Proven Steps to Prevent Dementia and Sharpen Your Mind.
