Learning Objectives:
•    Recognize children at risk for serious medical conditions during routine sports participation visits.
•    Identify the new recommendations for minimum blood lead levels and how to manage elevated lead levels in children.
•    Review current recommendations on COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11 years and adolescents 12 and over. Identify potential adverse reactions including vaccine-associated myocarditis.

Raul Barroso, DO

Dr. Barroso attended Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine for his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He returned to the University of Florida for his pediatric residency training in Jacksonville, FL, and has since devoted his career to the practice of pediatric medicine. He is board certified in pediatrics and is practicing at Liberty Mountain Medical Group Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine in Lynchburg, VA.
