Discuss the history of acupuncture as it pertains to the Western Culture.

• Review the mechanisms of action of effects of acupuncture needling technique.

• Discuss the history of osteopathic medicine and it’s application in today’s society.

• Review the similarities between the practice of acupuncture and the practice of

osteopathic manipulative medicine.
