Christine Matarese, DO

Christine Matarese, DO is an associate consultant at The Center for Sleep Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She is board certified (by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology) in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine.  She is originally from Rhode Island, completed osteopathic medical school in Biddeford, Maine at The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an osteopathic rotating internship in Reading, PA at St. Joseph Medical Center, two years of general pediatrics residency in Orlando, FL at Orlando Regional Healthcare, a child and adolescent neurology residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester and a clinical neurophysiology fellowship with a focus on EEG at Brown University in Rhode Island.  She then practiced Pediatric Neurology in private practice and academic settings in FL, CT and OK for several years before completing a sleep medicine fellowship in 2021 at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  She then returned to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where she can combine her interests in pediatric sleep medicine and pediatric neurology.  Clinical interests include nocturnal spells, parasomnias and disorders of hypersomnolence.
