Developmental Effects of COVID-19 on Children

Dr. McBride will identify and examine the unique effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on children over the past year. She will review COVID-19 statistics (the number of cases, hospitalizations, mortality, the severity of illness) for children during the pandemic. She goes through the various pediatric age groups and has an interesting summary of the effects of COVID-19 on each age group.
Objectives
- Identify the unique effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on children
- Evaluate specific pediatric populations, and the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected them
- Discuss the important role of the primary care providers in caring for children of all ages during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Megan McBride, DO, FAAP, FACOP
Dr. Megan McBride is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is currently a General Pediatrician with Mercy Clinics Pediatrics – Fenton, in Missouri. She obtained her doctor of osteopathy degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She did her General Pediatrics Residency at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a former Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons Wetzel Scholar. She is a member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons Board of Trustees, SLAOPS (past President), and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. McBride is married to Mark Campbell, and they have an 8-year-old son named Harrison. She loves Disney, traveling, and college basketball (Rock Chalk Jayhawk).
