Menopause: A Brief Review Over Time
Following the completion of this lecture, the participant will be able to:
• Outline the history of menopause management and hormone therapy in the US, focusing on the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI).
• Summarize key WHI findings and early clinical implications.
• Evaluate follow-up analyses and their impact on practice.
Dr. Harika Kantamneni is a specialty care physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She joined Inova in 2023 and has been practicing since 2017. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Kantamneni worked as an Obstetrics and Gynecology General Physician at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kantamneni enjoys the wide breadth that OB/GYN provides, and she enjoys working with the diverse patient population in Loudoun County. Her patient philosophy is to care and listen to patients while focusing on evidence-based medicine and shared decision-making. Outside the office, Dr. Kantamneni enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, being with family and friends, and rooting for her favorite team, the Ohio State University Buckeyes.
