Pain management is one the most common reasons for office visits.  Osteopathic physicians are uniquely trained to assist patients in the non-pharmacologic management of common painful injuries and mechanical dysfunctions.  This goal of this workshop is to educate attendees about the modality of pain management called Dry Needling which is often not taught in osteopathic medical school or residency.

Learning Objectives

Following the completion of this lecture, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify common pain-producing issues
  2. Discuss the role of dry needling in management of painful conditions
  3. Learn a safe and effective approach to dry needling common trigger points
  4. Review how to code and bill for dry needling
