Dr. Jerome Aya-Ay, M.D.

Dr. Aya-Ay is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with a special interest in preventative care and lifestyle medicine and he serves as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, Clinical Track at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas. He is the co-founder of Palmetto Proactive Healthcare, a direct primary care practice (DPC) in Spartanburg that seeks to unite the patient and physician in a proactive partnership. Palmetto Proactive has five locations in South Carolina. He is actively involved in the local, state and national medical community and he serves on the executive board of the Spartanburg County Medical Society and the South Carolina Association of Family Physicians. Dr. Aya-Ay received his medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine as well as his master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC where he was awarded the Family Medicine Resident of the Year in 2007.

Dr. Oshea Escamilla, D.O.

Oshea Escamilla DO, graduated from VCOM Carolinas Campus, attended residency in Family Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Hospital, and currently works at VCOM as faculty in Clinical Medicine and PPC/OMM, as well as at Palmetto Proactive Healthcare as a family medicine physician utilizing the direct primary care model.
