Learning Objectives:

Following the completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
-    Recognize the signs and symptoms of hearing loss and, in particular, sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL)
-    Describe and discuss some of the causes and associations with SSNHL
-    Describe some of the treatment options of SSNHL
-    Recognize the importance of sudden hearing loss and why treatment for this is considered an emergency 

Carl Hoegerl, DO

Carl Hoegerl, DO- Dr. Hoegerl is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also earned a Clinical Master of Science degree in Clinical Research.  He completed a Family Practice Residency at Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA and a Neurology Residency at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY.  Dr. Hoegerl recently completed the AACOM Health Policy Fellowship.  Currently he is Chair of Internal Medicine at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
