3. Better understand the implications of opioids in the management of acute and chronic pain and how this impacts your practice

4. Review appropriate risk mitigation strategies to avoid abuse and diversion

C. Scott Anthony, DO

C. Scott Anthony, DO is a board certified pain management physician in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his medical training at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990. He then completed a residency in anesthesiology, as well as a pain management fellowship, at Washington University/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He received board certification in both anesthesiology and pain medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Anthony’s practice is devoted to all aspects of interventional and medical management of chronic and cancer pain. He is a clinical professor of surgery at OSU-COM. Dr. Anthony is also a key voice in the state of Oklahoma in the area of education regarding the proper and appropriate use of opioid therapies in medical practice, as well as the prevention of misuse and diversion of opioids.
