A variety of cutaneous variations can occur on the newborn back. These range from simple dimples to more complex lesions, often with involvement of the spinal cord. This session will present the risk factors, a variety of lesions, and the work-up for these lesions.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize various skin lesions of the spine axis that are risk for
  2. Assess comorbidities with some of these lesions problems
  3. Describe the appropriate work-up for these spine issues
