Hiding in Plain Sight: Human Trafficking
Following the completion of this lecture, the participant will be able to:
- Define human trafficking and the three components of human trafficking.
- Understand the prevalence and incidence of human trafficking in the United States and internationally Identify the myths with human trafficking
- Familiarize oneself with the indicators of sex trafficking, forced labor and domestic servitude
- Elaborate on the multidisciplinary approach to treatment and management of human trafficking.
- Identify resources available for victims identified
- Asses the impact of human trafficking on adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s)
