  1. Appreciate the impact of a patient’s and healthcare professional’s religious beliefs on a patient’s healthcare experience.
  2. Recognize the impact of bias on these interactions.
  3. Respect patient autonomy in decision-making while remaining true to your own beliefs.
  4. Understand various perspectives on touch, diet and medical decision-making.
  5. Develop a game plan to better connect with your patient and improve trust and outcomes.
