Trauma: An Osteopathic Surgeon Perspective

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this educational activity, participants will:

  1. To Evaluate and identify opportunities to apply osteopathic principles and practice to the care of an injured patient.
  2. To integrate osteopathic principles and practice into the acute care of trauma victims. 
  3. To recognize when to recommend or employ OMT for trauma patients.
  4. To define opportunities to collaborate on projects about OMT and the acute care of trauma surgical patients.

Accreditation Statement:

The New York State Osteopathic Medical Society (NYSOMS)  is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. NYSOMS designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.
