Adolescent Sports Injuries


Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn how to identify and treat growth injuries
  2. Learn how to diagnose and treat back pain and differentiate knee pain
  3. Discuss ACL reduction, treatment
  4. Present a new treatment for Shin Splints
  5. Discuss burnout, bullying and mental health
  6. Discuss how to incorporate nutrition (obesity) hydration and sleep
  7. Discussion the prevention of overuse injuries

The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
