Sound Healing - The Anatomy and Physics of Sound


Learning Objectives:

  1. Why sound is used as a healing modality  
  2. How sound healing applies to osteopathy  
  3. The basic physics of sound waves and how they enter and have a physiological effect on the body
  4. Basic music theory of octaves and musical intervals as they apply to sound healing  
  5. Dr Higgins will demonstrate musical intervals as well as simple techniques to balance the central nervous system and to revitalize CSF, lymphatic and blood circulation and drainage.

The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
