Persistent Pulmonary Symptoms After COVID
Learning Objectives:
- Gather an appreciation of general knowledge (history, presentation, epidemiology, prognosis, therapy, complications) of COVID 19
- Know the expected time to recovery from COVID 19
- Describe common complications post-acute COVID 19
- Have a differential diagnosis for cardiopulmonary symptoms after COVID 19
- Discuss the history taking of a patient with cardiopulmonary symptoms after COVID 19
- Describe pertinent physical exam findings
- Prescribe appropriate routine testing
- Discuss indications for chest imaging
- Know when to order further cardiac testing
- Recognize indications and limitation of pulmonary function testing
- Appropriately refer patients for specialty opinion or further testing when indicated
The Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association (VOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
