WORKSHOP: OMM for Geriatric Patients with Parkinson’s Disease


Session LearningObjectives:

1.) Describe evidence for OMM as an adjunct treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease.

2.) Consider symptoms of Parkinson's disease that may be helped by OMM, with the goal of integrating OMM into the care of Parkinson's patients.

3.) Identify key body regions for gait fluidity and proper autonomic balance.

4.) Demonstrate abdominal diaphragm myofascial release, ligamentous articular strain for the sacro-pelvis, muscle energy for the wrists and ankles, myofascial release for the cervico-thoracic junction, occipitoatlantal decompression, and balanced ligamentous tension for the feet.
