Winter Hazards for the Aging Patient


Objectives:

1. Following this lecture, participants will be able to identify several conditions related to colder weather to which older
adults are more susceptible.

2. participants will gain an increased awareness of preventative measures to promote winter
safety.

3. participants will be able to identify patients in their practice more likely to suffer an adverse
event related to winter weather.

The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
