Addressing Scope of Practice Issues Nationwide and in Maine: Review of Resources and Strategies


At the end of this session, you will be able to:

-Name at least three 2023 state proposals to inappropriately expand non-physician clinicians’ scope of practice.
-Identify at least two resources available to help combat scope creep.
-Describe one example of a successful Scope of Practice Partnership grant campaign
 

The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
