In this lecture, Dr. Dietrich discusses adjuvant analgesia in chronic pain.

Learning Objectives:
1. Define adjuvant analgesics
2. Discuss classes, specific medicines, dosages, and common side effects
    a. Utilitizng a case based approach
3. Review current opiate pain management guidelines

Accreditation Statement:
The Montana Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance.  Initially, all grievances should be directed to MOMA Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee.  All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt.  If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

Christopher Dietrich DO is an Internal Medicine physician and Internal Medicine Residency teaching hospitalist faculty at Billings Clinic, in Billings, Montana. Dr. Dietrich received his medical degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University, in Glendale, Arizona. He completed his residency at Billings Clinic Internal Medicine Residency in Billings, Montana. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Dietrich joined Billings Clinic in 2015.
