1)  Understand the physiology, incidence and impact of BPH.

2)  Perform a primary care evaluation and implement treatment for BPH.

3)  Understand the newer minimally invasive treatments for BPH.

Dr. Blickensderfer received his D.O. degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSUKCOM) in Kirksville, MO.  He completed his internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, his residency in surgery at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt.Clemens, MI, and his residency in urology at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, MI.  Dr. Blickensderfer was an associate professor of surgery at ATSUKCOM from 1994 – 2003, and is a past president of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.  Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Osteopathic Medical Foundation of Michiana.  He practices urology in South Bend, IN.  He is certified in urological surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
