Pregnancy as a Predictor to Future Health

 

Dr. Gray will discuss how the adverse outcomes of a pregnancy affect the future of the mother.

Educational Objectives:

  • Summarize the key components of an obstetric history as it pertains to future wellness
  • Distinguish the connection between pregnancy complications and long-term health
  • Share appropriate follow up preventative care and screening strategies for women who have had pregnancy complications

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Kendra Gray, DO is a PGY-3 OB/GYN Resident at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. A graduate of Midwestern University AZCOM, she was recently appointed an adjunct faculty member at the school. She has completed award-winning research related to the early detection of breast cancers and benefits of hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Gray received her bachelors in education with an emphasis on early childhood education at Cleveland State University. Serving as the Resident Trustee on the AOMA Board of Trustees, much of her free time is spent involved with political advocacy and volunteerism to help strengthen her community. She enjoys hiking local trails and spending time with her family. Dr. Gray has lived in Phoenix for the past ten years with her husband, daughter and son. She is proud to call Arizona her home.
