Adrienne Giacon

Adrienne lives in Auckland, New Zealand. Her ancestors include Maori- From the iwi’s ( tribes)- Nga Puhi in the Bay of Islands,  Te Atihaunui A Paparangi from Wanganui and Ngati Kahungunu from Mahia; Samoan; Irish;  English; Scottish ( Celts!)

Adrienne was a founding member of the Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ (HVNANZ) and set up the charity in 2007. She started the first hearing voices support group in New Zealand the same year , which she facilitated until last year. She is currently the chairperson of the HVNANZ and in her work with them, Adrienne has lectured about voices, visions and experiencing other realities  at many  events and workshops.

Adrienne designed and ran a peer support hearing voices support program at a local forensic clinic for many years, working with the Maori cultural team to include cultural and spiritual considerations in the program provided. Recently Adrienne facilitated an online support group called Realities for people who experienced other realities.

Adrienne experiences other realities and uses her own experiences, plus her experience of supporting others to help others to better understand how to navigate and understand experiences of this nature in the wider context of their lives, the universe we live in and our connections to all things.

She is a trained Aromatherapist and massage therapist with experience in holistic treatments. Currently she is a cofounder of Giacon Terrazzo Ltd with her husband, and a mother to two daughters.
