Naushira Pandya, MD, CMD, FACP


Naushira Pandya, MD, CMD, FACP, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Geriatrics at Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the project director of the federally-funded Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement grant. In addition to teaching she has an active practice in Geriatrics and Endocrinology. Previously, she worked with the Arizona Long-Term care system, served as an assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and as a geriatrician at William Beaumont Hospital in Detroit.. Dr Pandya is past president of AMDA, Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, and past chair of its Clinical Practice Committee. She is First VP for the Broward County Area Agency on Aging,. She is a reviewer for geriatrics journals and has published in the areas of diabetes, osteoporosis, hypopituitarism, and anemia in the elderly. She has been instrumental in writing clinical practice guidelines on the Management of Diabetes in the Long-term Setting, Osteoporosis, and the Pharmacological Treatment Guideline for Depression in the Long-Term Setting. Dr. Pandya hold the distinction of being a Fulbright Senior Specialist Scholar, a Contributor to the Whitehouse Conference on Aging, and the Whitehouse Conference on Antibiotic Stewardship. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Endocrinology.
