How Speakers and Topics Are Selected
The Oklahoma Osteopathic Association’s Bureau on Continuing Medical Education meets twice annually to choose seminar chairs, topics of interest, and the best presenters available to speak on each chosen topic. In addition, past program evaluations are used in determining speakers and topics from past conferences.

 
Grievance Policy
Program grievances will be presented to the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees and dealt with appropriately. If this action did not resolve the problem to satisfaction, the person with the grievance will be directed to the American Osteopathic Association’s Division of Continuing Medical Education.

Stacia Shipman, DO, FACOEP Related Seminars and Products


Stacia Shipman, DO, FACOEP, was born in Wichita, Kansas and is a graduate of the University of Kansas.  She obtained her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa and completed her emergency medicine residency training at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she is currently an attending physician. 

In addition to her emergency medicine practice, she is a Core Faculty member, teaching and training emergency residents at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center.  She also serves as Research Director for all INTEGRIS Health Residency Programs.  She resides in Edmond, Oklahoma with her husband, who is also an emergency medicine physician and their 3 children.

G. Tyler Jones, DO Related Seminars and Products


G. Tyler Jones, DO, is a graduate of Graceland University in Lamoni, IA. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa Oklahoma. He completed residency in internal medicine at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in

Tulsa. After residency, he began work as a hospitalist with Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. During his time with Integris, he has been the medical education lead, coordinating medical student and resident rotations for throughout the year. He has a passion for education and is known for never rounding without his team.

In addition to his hospitalist practice, he has been involved in building the Hospital at Home program at Integris Health. As the medical director for patient acquisition, Dr. Jones has been integral for the success of this program.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Jones currently lives in Edmond, OK with his wife and 2 daughters and enjoys life as a girl dad and college football fan.

Steffen Carey, DO Related Seminars and Products


Steffen E. Carey, DO, is born and raised in El Reno, OK. He completed associates degree at Redlands community college then Undergrad at OSU in Stillwater with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Completed Medical school at OSU-CHS and Residency at OSU FM in Tulsa, OK. I practiced at a critical access hospital in Prague, OK for 2 years and since 2016 I am faculty at OSU FM. I am currently Associate Program Director as well as Vice Chair of the family medicine residency. I have 2 young girls and we enjoy traveling and spending time with them.

Ryan T. Morgan, DO, FACOI Related Seminars and Products


Ryan Morgan, DO, FACOI, is co-founder of Vitalis Metabolic Health, where he provides evidence-based and individually tailored lipidology and obesity treatment.  Prior to Vitalis, he worked as a hospitalist for 6 years at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Dr Morgan received his Doctor of Osteopathy at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the AOBIM, a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, a diplomate of American Board of Obesity Medicine, and Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM). Dr. Morgan is actively involved in several clinical trials and is an active member of the Oklahoma County Medical Society and the Obesity Medicine Association.
