Description

Objectives for Advances in Migraine: A New Era: 

  • Diagnose migraine with and without aura, and chronic migraine
  • Understand migraine pathophysiology as it relates to drug targets
  • Choose acute and preventive therapies for the patients migraine features and burden
  • Choose neuromodulation devices, when appropriate

Lynn Rankin, MD Related Seminars and Products


Lynn M. Rankin, M.D. is a UnityPoint neurologist based in Des Moines, Iowa. She specializes in migraine headaches.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Drake University and then a Master of from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine internship at State University of New York in Stony Brook, New York.  She then went on to complete her residency in neurology at University of Arizona Affiliated Hospitals in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Rankin believes in meeting patients where they are at in life and allowing them to ask questions. No two patients are the same, so she believes it is important to treat each patient based on their specific needs. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling. Her first international trip was at the age of 14 to the Holy Land just before her confirmation into the Methodist Church.
