Description

Objectives for Cardiovascular Complications of COVID-19: 

  • Provide an overview of the current understanding of cardiovascular complications in the setting of COVID-19 infection.
  • Discuss the pathophysiology of acute COVID-19 cardiac injury and the spectrum of possible late cardiovascular complications.
  • Review the evolving treatment considerations of cardiovascular manifestations in COVID-19 infection.

She completed medical school at Oklahoma State University and from there moved to Iowa where she completed internal medicine residency at her current fellowship institution. Her passion is in general and preventive cardiology.
