Description

This presentation is designed not only to change physician competence, but address physician performance, and ultimately try to improve their patient outcomes.  I expect that attendees will be able to interpret and follow published algorithms on cervical cancer screening and be able to apply current recommendations to their everyday practice.

Learning Objectives:
1. To define the updated cervical cancer screening guidelines
2. To understand when cytologic and HPV testing should be performed 3. To understand when to begin and end cervical cancer screening

Kristopher Bedi, DO Related Seminars and Products


Originally from Southern California, Dr. Bedi serves as the Chair of the Department of Specialty Medicine. He graduated from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Stamford Hospital – Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then went on and completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the Women’s Health Institute of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Bedi has had many leadership positions during his medical career. He most recently served as the Director of Obstetrics of Gynecology at Van Diest Medical Center. Throughout his career he has been an active member in many organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American Osteopathic Association. He has served as a delegate from Illinois to the AOA Congress and as a state delegate in Iowa. Dr. Bedi’s special interests lie in Medical Education, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Urogynecology. He began his teaching career during his fellowship and has continually taught medical students and residents. He has held academic teaching positions at Midwestern University, Des Moines University and the University of Illinois, Chicago prior to his arrival at California Health Sciences University.
