Learning Objectives:


•    To identify presentations with overlapping clinical signs and symptoms.
•    To review known or suspected target effects of lung injury by the topic sources.
•    To identify extrapulmonary effects of nicotine, tetrahydrocannabinol, and cannabidiol
•    To actively identify demographic, sociologic, and clinical factors which contribute to each presentation.
•    To actively develop a suggested diagnostic work-up for the acute presentation, and perhaps a screening evaluation for the patient that is seen non-acutely

Dr. Randy Litman is the Associate Dean for Clinical Education at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM). He is residency trained and is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and the American Board of Osteopathic Internists. Additionally, he has achieved Fellowship status with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Academy of Osteopathy, and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. As an internal medicine resident, he received the honor of chief resident. Dr. Litman completed a one-year fellowship in health policy from 2009-10 and is currently an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Health Policy Fellow.

The Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association (VOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. VOMA designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category category of credits 1A CME credits and will report CME credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.
