Dr. Nikhil Bhargava is a gastroenterologist practicing at Digestive Disease Consultants of Kankakee since 2009. He completed his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed Internal Medicine Residency at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in Evanston, IL and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, IL. He is dually board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He serves as Program Director for the Gastroenterology Fellowship at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. He is actively involved in clinical research and in training medical students and residents. He has served as the Chairman for the Department of Internal Medicine and Treasurer/Secretary at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. He is a proud member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Illinois Osteopathic Society. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
