Description

Although most people with COVID-19 get better within weeks of illness, some people experience post-COVID conditions. These conditions are a wide range of new, returning or ongoing health problems people can experience four or more weeks after being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. These conditions can have different types and combinations of health problems for different lengths of time making it imperative physicians receive the latest information regarding this syndrome in order to better understand the conditions and long-term effects on their patients.

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:

  • Summarize the COVID-19 disease process, transmission, therapies, vaccination and long-haul disease
  • Describe the differences between SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV-1
