Objectives for Development and Implementation of Treatment Algorithms for Venous Thromboembolism: 

  • Diagnosis of VTE (PE and DVT) in the Emergency Department
  • Morbidity and mortality associated with WTE
  • Healthcare Economic Burden of VTE 
  • Algorithmic approach to therapeutic intervention for VTE

Dr. Brandon Trigger completed his medical school training and emergency medicine residency at the University of Iowa, where he served as chief resident. He has worked in the Twin Cities for the independent physician owned group Emergency Physicians Professional Association (EPPA) since 2008. He has served as the Assistant Medical Director, Medical Director, and Chair for the Emergency Department at MHealth Fairview Southdale Hospital. He also serves as EPPA's physician recruiting chair. As the Medical Director, he has participated in numerous process improvement, research, and quality initiatives and has served on multiple hospital committees. He will begin his Chief of Staff elect term in April 2021.
