Dr. Joseph Kidd received his osteopathic medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia and then completed his residency at Wake Forest Baptist Family Medicine Program. Dr. Kidd is board certified in family medicine and is currently employed as a Family Medicine Physician at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA and serves as the Discipline Chair and Assistant Professor for Rural Primary Care at VCOM Virginia.

The Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association (VOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
