Ethnicity Matters: The Impact of COVID-19 on Minority & Rural Populations

In this lecture, Dr. Baldwin will discuss and help physicians understand the increased risks of COVID-19 faced by minorities and rural populations.  He will address the roles of the social determinants of health in the pandemic.  He will also address the role of expanded Medicaid programs. He will conclude by discussing the challenges and successes in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

Objectives:

•    Understand the risk factors for infection and death from COVID-19
•    Understand the impact of COVID-19 on minority and rural populations
•    Understand the challenges and successes in COVID-19 vaccine rollout
