Learning Objectives:

  • Accurately diagnose ARDS using current criteria and bedside clinical data.
  • Implement evidence-based ventilatory and supportive management strategies for ARDS.
  • Apply recent clinical evidence to refine ARDS management decisions in the ICU.
  • Recognize patient-specific factors that influence prognosis and therapeutic choices.

Dr. Stuart Weston is a physician with advanced training in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital and went on to complete a Critical Care Fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Weston earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and holds a Master of Medical Science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Weston serves as a Major in the United States Air Force and has held multiple leadership roles throughout his medical training, including committee leadership within emergency medicine residency programs and national involvement with the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA). Dr. Weston has contributed to peer-reviewed research and is actively involved in teaching and professional education.
