Learning Objectives:

  • Review demographics of migraine
  • Define migraine as primary headache type
  • Discuss migraine mechanism
  • Review official migraine diagnostic study criteria
  • Discuss acute abortive and preventative treatment for migraine
Dr. Henschke has disclosed that he has received an honorarium for speaking from Abbvie. 
The NHOA is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing education for physicians

The NHOA designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits commensurate with the extent of the physicians participation in this activity.

Dr. Mark Henschke is an alumni of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as a Doctor of Pharmacy. He worked for several years in California before coming to the east coast where he has been practicing for the last 3 decades. Dr. Henschke has been working at York Hospital for several years.
