Learning Objectives:
Following completion of this program, attendees shall be able to: 
-Explore current screening recommendations and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD) in the primary care setting;
-Examine current theoretical causes of ASD including genetic testing recommendations for new diagnosis of ASD and IDD;
-Explore the term neurodiversity for general understanding.

The Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons (WAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. Kathleen A. Felton Koth, D.O., DFAACAP is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Director of Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in the division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry where she provides clinical services to individuals with intellectual developmental disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and genetic conditions with co-occurring psychiatric disorders and severe behavioral issues. She is a member of the Autism and Intellectual Disability Committee of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry where she is the chair of the intellectual developmental disorder subcommittee and co-chair of the education and training working group.
