Dr. Sara Ancello, DO is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist and Obesity Medicine Specialist. She earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency as Chief Resident at Rowan University. She then moved to Arizona to complete her Fellowship in Gastroenterology through Midwestern University at Mountain Vista Medical Center, where she led her colleagues as Chief Fellow for two years. In 2020 and 2021 Dr. Ancello was honored with the “Teaching Attending of the Year” Award by the Gastroenterology Fellowship. Dr. Ancello is an active member of many GI societies and has numerous journal publications and conference presentations. She has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally on Gastrointestinal Diseases, Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Development. She is currently a partner in private practice at Central Arizona Medical Associates in Mesa, AZ.
