Description

The evaluation and management of patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries is a routine part of most primary care practices. Distinguishing a fracture from a soft tissue injury is an essential part of clinical decision making for those injuries. This workshop will provide practitioners with adequate training and education in x-ray interpretation and diagnostic dilemmas regarding common orthopedic fractures and dislocations. Attendees will also have a hands-on opportunity to learn how to stabilize, splint or address these orthopedic conditions and fractures.

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:

  • Review the most common fractures and dislocations and high-yield, board-relevant data
  • Describe how to stabilize, splint or acknowledge various orthopedic conditions and fractures
