Dr. Derek Higgins, DO is the Medical Director of Pioneer Sports & Spine. Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he was also fellowship trained in interventional pain management at Ahwatukee Sports & Spine. He is a graduate of Midwestern University and was Chief Resident at Nassau University Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Higgins offers a diverse portfolio of research-based treatments and specializes in osteopathic modalities to manage the complexity of chronic pain. He is an advocate for chronic conditions with a special interest in neuropathic and cancer pain. He is committed to the highest standard of clinical care for his patients.
Assessing each individual pain profile, he incorporates his procedural experience, and diverse therapeutic knowledge to relieve pain. His passion for education has helped many future physicians and the community.
