Learning Objectives:

1-Review clinical management & treatment strategies of acute ischemic stroke.

2-Discuss imaging techniques & goals for evaluating patients with ischemic stroke and cerebrovascular disease.

3-Identify common abnormalities on CT & MRI of patients with cerebrovascular disease and ischemic stroke.

4-Discuss COVID-19 related thromboembolic & vascular complications.

The program was planned, implemented and accredited by the Kansas Association of Osteopathic Medicine (KAOM).

The Kansas Association of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of .75 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physicians participation in this activity.

Kyle Summers, D.O., ABOR
Kyle Summers, DO, is a native of Tulsa, OK and proud Oklahoma State Cowboy who completed a diagnostic neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center after attending OSU-CHS for medical school and finishing a diagnostic radiology residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center.  Following the Chiefs Super Bowl victory in 2020, Dr. Summers decided to leave a hybrid private practice & teaching position at OSUMC in Tulsa for the opportunity to return to KU Medical Center as a faculty neuroradiologist.  His professional interests include head & neck imaging, neuro-oncology, stroke imaging, and advanced neuroimaging techniques. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, hunting, & motorsports and is currently restoring a family heirloom 1941 Indian Sport Scout motorcycle.
