Description

Learning Objectives:

  • Appropriately dose pain medications for all sizes of patients
  • Offer alternative forms of pain treatment instead of narcotics when appropriate
  • Understand the different forms of analgesia and how they compare with each other (i.e., hydrocodone/APAP vs extended relief morphine)
  • Work with patients dealing with addiction and withdrawal from opioids
  • Be able to prescribe alternatives to opioids for patients going home
