Learning Objectives:
The Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association (VOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. VOMA designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.
Grievances regarding program administration and reporting of AOA CME credits will be handled on an individual basis Initially, all grievances should be directed to VOMA Executive Director. Dr. Rawlins attended medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. After graduating, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) where he was awarded Outstanding USAF Internal Medicine Resident and went on to complete a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at SAUSHEC. He served in the United States Air Force for 11 years and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal. Dr. Rawlins served as the Medical Director for the Critical Care Transport Team at Keesler AFB prior to relocating to Virginia where he is employed as a Pulmonologist by Lewis Gale, and serves as the Chair of Internal Medicine at VCOM-Virginia. Dr. Rawlins is boarded in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
