In ‘precedented’ times, physicians experience high levels of work stress. In these unprecedented times, it’s even more important for doctors to take care of themselves. As the saying goes, you have to take care to give care.

Barbara Moss, DO, MPH, FACOFP, FAAO has a full scope osteopathic family practice with inpatient and outpatient osteopathic manipulation at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. She trained and performed as Chief Resident at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency after completing medical school at the University of Health Sciences, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. She has a Masters in Public Health from Boston University and uses these skills to direct the Community Medicine Curriculum at the Maine-Dartmouth Residency and engage in local community public health efforts. For 10 years she was Director of Osteopathic Medical Education and Director of the Osteopathic Family Practice program at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency and continues to teach and encourage residents to perform Osteopathic Manipulation in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She is C-NMM/OMM and in 2023 received her FAAO under the sponsorship of Florida Osteopathic Dr. Doris Newman, DO. She has been the founding director of the OMMmm: Osteopathy and Yoga program since its inception in October 2017 and invites FOMA attendees to consider coming to Maine to see the beautiful fall colors for the rejuvenating OMMmm Osteopathy and Yoga CME program October 18-20, 2024

Dr. Paige Gutheil (Dr. Paige to most!) is an osteopathic family physician, teacher and founder of the industry-disrupting holistic healthcare collaborative, Signature Primary Care and Wellness. She partners with her patients directly, providing comprehensive primary care and integrative health memberships - in person and virtually!  She has empowered and equipped thousands of patients to stop feeling “sick and tired of being sick and tired” with her Signature Whole Health tools and support systems.

Dr. Paige was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.  She received her doctorate degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 after completing her undergraduate degree in Biology and Spanish from the University of Houston.  She completed her residency training to become Board Certified in Family Medicine at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. She joined her father Dr. Paul Gutheil in practice in 2005 where she enjoyed creating a true family practice taking care of all ages and a large variety of health conditions while really getting to know her patients. In 2018, she pivoted away from that traditional environment in order to be able to spend more time with patients and address their Whole Health - body, mind, spirit…and life! 

A well-respected leader at the healthcare system, professional organization and University levels, she has proven herself an impactful mentor of healthcare professionals and students. Dr. Paige is the recipient of many industry-leading awards from organizations such as Pfizer and Ohio University. An engaging and dynamic speaker, Dr. Paige is sought after to teach about such topics as physician wellness, her Signature Whole Health approach to patient care and the power of sleep and spirituality in medicine.

Over the years, Dr. Paige has earned numerous honors and served the medical profession in many ways.  She was Ohio’s American College of Family Physician’s Young Physician of the Year in 2007 and won Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Outstanding Recent Graduate Award in 2009.  She has served as President of the Columbus Osteopathic Association, on the Board of Governors of the Ohio ACOFP, the Board of Directors of OU-HCOM’s Society of Alumni and Friends and the Board of Directors of the Ohio University Alumni Association.  She has also served in administrative leadership roles such as Chair of the Department of Community Health at Doctors Hospital and President of the Medical Staff at Doctors Hospital.  Dr. Paige is also an Assistant Professor of Primary Care Medicine at Ohio University and spends time weekly on campus in Dublin teaching first and second year medical students who are interested in becoming primary care docs.
